New Library time ECA now available

Many parents have asked for students in Primary/Secondary to be able to stay on campus during the ECA period in order to wait for siblings or due to their carpool.

Students may not be on campus unattended and therefore the school will now offer a Library time ECA for students who need/wish to stay.  Students will be able to do their homework, read or play board games in the library during this time.

Library time is an included ECA activity.  If it is an additional activity, the fee is $350 per month for one day a week and $700 per month for two days a week.

Please contact Ms Katia on khernandez@wingate.edu.mx to enrol.

Thank you.

Who is who at TWS?

Ximena Talayero

Ximena Talayero was born in CDMX.  Educated at Miraflores, she moved on to the Anahuac to study Business Administration for her degree.  She much enjoyed both places, calling her school years “really fun”.  Interestingly, in time Ximena also earned herself a Masters in Gastronomy.

Ximena, a “very organized” person, worked in Danone for some time before teaching several years at the “Angel Matute,” at the high school level, prior to joining TWS this year.

Married to Mauricio, they have raised, and, indeed, are raising, a family of four.  A lady with a ready smile and easy laugh, Ximena readily admits that her exciting role as a mom can be tiring as well.  And, to help herself be a thoughtful mom, she loves studying courses here and there about the fascinating nature of adolescence.  Her current goals in life very much centre upon her children, three girls and a boy, and providing them with suitable opportunities in life.

Ximena is quite well-travelled, having enjoyed trips to London and Paris, as well as spells spent in Spain, South American countries, Africa, the USA (including New York), and cities in Central Europe.
Ximena’s taste in reading is broad, from love stories to analysing Mexican politics.  Autobiographies are a favoured form.

When dining at restaurants, Mexican and French foods are her primary choices.  Keeping in touch, she tries to do this with friends about twice a month.  Sport in Ximena’s life involves visiting the gym and swimming.  (She used to run but not so much any more.)  Getting out and about in Mexico, it is more likely she and her family would visit a city, and its historic places, rather than hit the beach.
She has found TWS to be “a kind environment in which to work”.  Allied to that observation, and a fun fact (no pun intended), Ximena has found that both she and her line manager, Mr Vinay, are “fans of jokes and laughing”.
